Booster Meeting Notes - 9/17/2025

HAMPTON WRESTLING ASSOCIATION

BOOSTER MEETING MINUTES – SEPTEMBER 17, 2025

(Called to Order at 7:03pm – Adjourned at 8:20pm)

COACHES’ REPORTS:

VARSITY (COACH ENDRES):

New singlets have been ordered.
Mockup for warmups is complete. Waiting for more concrete numbers before ordering.
The practice mats have not yet arrived. This has been pushed to the solicitor for action. It is now beyond the administration's control
Hotel rooms are booked for HS for the Fred Bell tournament. Greg needs a list for each room. There is also a block code to share with parents. Greg will share that out.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (COACH BURSICK):

Still waiting for the schedule to be completed. Tournaments are not yet solidified - need to wait for the schedule to be completed first.
New singlets have been ordered.
Will start working on mockups for the warmups.
Confirmed tournaments - Elwood City, Slippery Rock, Allegheny County @ Shaler, Peters Township, Counties.

YOUTH (YOUTH DIRECTOR WES METCALF):

EBMT posting is live on the PY Wrestling site
No registration invoices have been sent to JO parents yet. Need to know who all will be asst coaches (half off registration).
Need to order singlets. Wes will get Gretchen the numbers ASAP
Friday Night Lives would need to have insurance certs from all schools attending
Wes will set up a coaches meeting soon
Need a DL sign for recruitment
Ashley is working on warmups through GPSA

GIRLS’ CLUB (COACH RUGGERI):

Still waiting for the schedule to be completed. Tournaments are not yet solidified - need to wait for the schedule to be completed first.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Accounting software is up to date
$3,096 in Checking Account Balance
$6,410 in Scholarship Account Balance
$525 in Venmo Account Balance
Had some big expenses hit - singlets, insurance
Rob Lomb paid singlet deposit to Venmo - will need to remember that when it’s time to return.
Insurance - need to add $20 to registration for JO for 2026
Need to order a new pump sprayer for wresting room
Throwing mats - 1 for each level

EBMT:

Joe has proposed asking for sponsors. Sponsor logos will be put on volunteer shirts.
Will go with the yellow shirt for the tournament. Have volunteers wear the bright green. Order vol shirts through GPSA

FUNDRAISING:

ML Schedules - login shared with board members and coaches
- Received approval from Dr. Loughead for Sunday usage of facilities for EBMT
- Dawg Duals / EBMT gym and cafeteria approved
- Senior Night cafeteria / kitchen / arch approved
- Youth practices need to be submitted
- Youth match nights need to be submitted
- Girls regular season practices approved
Team gear ideas sponsored by Laborer’s Union - bags from MyHouse
Registration update:
- HS / MS - 11

Photo dates - will discuss at next meeting
Senior Night photographer - Mark is unavailable. Stacy will reach out to Candace. Will update at next meeting
Food for tournaments - Boosters will purchase this year. Look into purchasing 2 coolers.
Parent meeting dates- revisit at next meeting. Varsity soft date - 11/24
