News

The Talbots open the season with an 8th place finish and 6 individual medalist at Eastern Area Championships held at Gateway High School. Earning medals are:
Isabella McNutt – 5th Place – 107
Dustin Kerr – 6th Place – 133
Alan Danner – 5th Place – 160
Caleb Rihn – 4th Place – 172
Aiden Petry – 4th Place – 189
Nate Glock – 6th Place – 285

Hampton’s Isabella McNutt only started wrestling a year ago, but that didn’t stop her from reaching the nation’s biggest event this summer.
McNutt, who will be a junior at Hampton in the fall, qualified for the 2022 USA Wrestling 16U and junior nationals July 16-22 at the FargoDome in Fargo, N.D.
Western Pennsylvania has become known for producing terrific female athletes over the years, but most of those competitors faced off against other females.
Up in Hampton Township right now, there’s a girl who is squaring off against the boys and doing quite well for herself. Isabella McNutt doesn’t necessarily “look” like a “fierce competitor,” but looks can be deceiving.
Congrats to Coach Hart on a successful tenure. Good luck to Coach Endres on stepping in as Head Coach of the Talbots. Our future continues to look bright!!

For the first time in program history, the Hampton wrestling team can try to pick on someone its own size.
The Talbots will compete against similar-sized schools after being dropped to Class 2A during the offseason WPIAL enrollment-based realignment.
This is the first season since the program formed that Hampton isn’t a Class 3A school, trying to compete with much bigger WPIAL powerhouses.
Dustin Kerr takes 3rd place at WPIAL Junior High Tournament

Congratulations to Dustin Kerr for taking 3rd place at the WPIAL Junior High Tournament. Great end to the regular season!
Hampton’s Justin Hart celebrates his win over Bellefonte Area’s Ethan Rossman in the 189-pound Class AAA semifinal March 13 during PIAA wrestling championships at the Giant Center in Hershey.
